In Novalith’s ruins, now laying abandoned as they made away with those that could still survive, a diary was uncovered in a crude building titled the ‘Iron hut’. Nothing but an inbox and outbox that fade into the essence of time itself, only to reappear when you next look, the room is otherwise bare. The diary, a small, crude little thing, tells the story of Kalyn - of the seedling’s short time. “Everything is in chaos - we cannot harvest trees, nor berries. Which might be for the best, considering I tipped a bit too much microalgae into the forest when no one was looking - mwahahaha!” The diary consists of crude, vague visions of domination of the society - one of them being trapped delivery ducks and charging the society a fee to use them. Kalyn’s diary describes what happened when harvesting berries was considered ‘safe’ once more. “These fools went back to the forest to harvest berries, adding to our diminishing stockpile of food. People have started delivering the food to their homes, and in turn, caused my plans to progress further… Mwahahaha!” In smaller writing, at the bottom of the page, Kalyn wrote the following. “These smoothies taste fruity. I hope they didn’t add the berries to them.. I feel a bit dizzy, and my vision is failing me.. The inbox and outbox are vanishing, and it seems like the buildings around me fade into nothing. Mwahaha?” No further entries were recorded, after the fall of Novalith’s first society as seedlings fled. Were poisoned berries the cause of Novalith’s fall before it could even rise? Who knows! Be on the lookout for what berries you pick, and make sure they’re not fed too much microalgae…
